Dear Students and Parents,
The recent announcement regarding Cambridge O Level, IGCSE and AS/A Level examinations has added to the prevailing uncertainty for students and parents — and equally so for schools.
Under the current circumstances, Beaconhouse School System believes that the best way forward would be to opt for School Assessed Grades for students who are unable to sit their exams. However, we cannot share a way forward until we get clear directions for all grade levels from Cambridge, with whom we are in touch at the highest levels. Please be assured that we will advise you as soon as we receive an update in this regard.
Meanwhile, as per Cambridge’s communication on April 28th, it is recommended that students appearing for their A Level composite examinations & AS students applying to universities for the current May/June 2021 series should continue to follow the Cambridge exam schedule and sit the exams.
We will apprise all stakeholders of any further updates regarding the revised examination schedule once shared by Cambridge.
We understand that this is a stressful time for everyone and would like to assure you that we are doing everything possible to alleviate your anxiety. Meanwhile, we trust that you and your families are staying safe.
Regards,
Beaconhouse Administration
