Dear Students, Parents/Guardians,
The Single National Curriculum (SNC) is being introduced for classes Pre-Nursery to V, from the current Academic Year 2021-22. To this end, Beaconhouse shared an overview of the SNC with our parents in February 2021. We are sure it provided clarity on many aspects of the SNC.
Under this framework, the schools are also mandated to either use Model Textbooks approved by the Federal Government or acquire an NOC from the relevant Curriculum Textbook Board for all class levels, before adopting any other textbook or Supplementary Reading Material. We are pleased to share that the majority of the textbooks on the Beaconhouse booklist, have received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the provincial authorities. A formal communication, along with a complete booklist will also be shared with you via email, sms and Beaconhouse Schooling Uninterrupted (BSU), once we receive approval for the remaining textbooks.
At this crucial juncture, we would like to assure you that in case of a delay in the availability of textbooks, consequent to the approval process; rest be assured that the quality and standards of education imparted to your child will not suffer.
We take pride in sharing that we have enhanced the Single National Curriculum with Beaconhouse’s 21st century teaching and learning methodologies to ensure continuity and progression. We understand that you may have specific questions pertaining to your child/ ren’s class level, therefore, Parent Orientations will be organised by the schools to keep you abreast of the academic plan and to address any queries that you may have.
Furthermore, we would like to welcome all our students back to school for another exciting year full of academic rigour, innovation and fun. We would also like to thank you for your constant support and for entrusting the Beaconhouse School System for establishing new dimensions of learning while adapting SNC with a progressive approach.
