Dear Students and Parents/Guardians,
As you are aware, due to increasing concerns across the country regarding the continuing spread of Covid-19, the Government of Pakistan made the decision to cancel Cambridge International’s May/June 2021 exams for O level and IGCSE.
Students who were due to take their Cambridge exams in the May/June 21 exam series will be re-registered to sit their exams in the Oct/Nov 2021 exam series. Further information will be shared as and when received from Cambridge.
We understand that this is a stressful time for our students as this decision has caused uncertainty with regards to admissions, subject selection, concurrent enrollment in two programs (O-A Level/IBDP) scholarships and most importantly support required for the exam preparation in the Oct/Nov 21 exam series.
We would like to assure you that Beaconhouse is doing their best to ensure our students are fully supported through this transition. Please note:
- Grade XC: Students will continue with the current term until June 2021 and sit for their End of Year Exams before the summer break. Exam dates and schedules will be shared after the Eid Break with the students. XC will be promoted to XI C and classes will begin for them in August 2021.
- Grade XI C: Beaconhouse will continue to support its students with revision and exam preparation for the Cambridge International O Level/IGCSE exams. A special support programme has been devised for examination preparation for the Oct/Nov 2021 exam series.
- XI C to Beaconhouse College Programme (BCP): In order to ensure that the time required for completion of the A1 syllabus is not compromised due to the preparation for the O level/IGCSE Oct/Nov 2021 exam series, classes for A1/DP1 will start early in the summer. The schedule and other pertinent details for the new session of A level/IBDP will be shared after the Eid Break.
Beaconhouse School Administration will continue to update you on the developing situation. Meanwhile, stay safe, avoid going out as much as possible and follow all SOPs.
We wish our BSS families a happy, safe and restful Eid.
