Dear Students, Parents/Guardians,
The Federal Minister of Education has announced that the Cambridge International will hold a Special Examination Series for O level (XI C) and IGCSE in the last week of July 2021. With exams taking place much later than usual, results will also be released accordingly.
The focus of this Examination Series is on a set of subjects that will benefit the majority of students. The subjects to be examined in the special examination series are:
Cambridge O Level: English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Accounting, Business Studies, Economics and Computer Science
Cambridge IGCSE: English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics
Students will only take one-question-paper per subject. That one-question-paper will be a multiple-choice paper where it exists for the syllabus. This multiple-choice paper typically lasts for 60 minutes. A revised timetable will be shared by the Cambridge International soon.
Beaconhouse recommends that students take exams in this Special Examination Series. We believe this Special Examination Series will ensure a smooth transition for O level to their next academic level and enable them to pursue their future study plan. In light of this, revision classes for all 11C students will resume from Tuesday, June 1, 2021. Schools will implement a rigorous revision plan focused on the set of subjects shared by Cambridge for this Special Examination Series.
We understand that our students have been through a stressful time in the past few months but their resilience and flexibility throughout this time have been commendable.
Beaconhouse School Administration will continue to share further updates, as received by Cambridge International. Meanwhile, we hope you and your families are keeping well.
Regards,
Beaconhouse Administration
